Opportunity:                   
Our Team is looking for a Barback. They will be responsible for ensuring that all guests’ expectations are consistently met by maintaining Press Club Grill’s Standards. This is a position that will be responsible for all aspects of bar maintenance. Our barback will support the bar team and anticipate the needs of the bar environment. Our barback will make sure that the bartenders have everything needed to maintain an efficient bar: glassware, garnishes, stock bottles, juicing, refill juices and syrups, and anything else the bar requires. The goal for all supporting roles is for individuals to grow with our team and eventually graduate to a more senior position.

JOB OVERVIEW:
  • Work cohesively with the bar and service team 
  • Keep the bar fully stocked
  • Prep garnishes (citrus, herbs, pickles, olives, etc.)
  • Label and date all perishable items
  • Juice citrus
  • Refill syrups and juices when necessary
  • Fill garnishes 
  • Restock liquor bottles
  • Restock canned and bottled beer
  • Replenish napkins, toothpicks, and other counter items
  • Maintain clean bar rags
  • Clean bar tops frequently

Education, Certification, Experience
  • 2 years of experience in full-service restaurant and bar operations with a full bar.
  • Bar training coursework certification, or equivalent experience.
  • General technical knowledge of service techniques and use of standard beverage service equipment.
  • General product knowledge of food and beverage.
  • Ability to input and access information in the POS system/computers.
