Commissary Chef


Compensation: 60-67.5k plus bonus and benefits

Commissary Chef’s job is to oversee the Chef Geoff’s Commissary which is based out of the Jesuit Community at Georgetown University and produces a range of goods including pastries, pasta, pizza doughs, and sauces for three restaurants – Chef Geoff’s, LIA’S, and Chef Geoff’s West End. Chef Geoff’s also provides three meals a day to the Jesuit Community out of the same kitchen as the Commissary and the Commissary Chef would be trained to assist the Chef Geoff’s Jesuits Chef where needed in the food service program to the Jesuits. The Commissary Chef would oversee a small team of 2 or 3 cooks. The Commissary Chef would oversee all logistics associated with the Commissary and would personally deliver goods daily to each restaurant. He/she would also train and oversee other delivery drivers to fill in when he/she is not able to deliver. He/she would also oversee order, receiving, inventory and all associated administrative tasks associated with the Commissary. He/She would ensure the highest levels of organization, cleanliness and sanitation and would make sure that RandM issues are handled efficiently. The Commissary Chef may also be called on to assist with preparing and delivering heat and eat meals that we sell online. The Commissary Chef would report to the Corporate Chef. The ideal candidate would have strong culinary skills, including strong experience with pastry and pasta, excellent organizational skills, a flexible and can-do attitude, interest in coordination and logistics, and strong interpersonal skills.
