Job Summary
As a Crew Member-Back of House at Big Chicken, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering a delightful dining experience to our customers. You will work behind the scenes, collaborating with a dynamic team to prepare and cook delicious chicken dishes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Food Preparation:
- Follow recipes and guidelines to prepare high-quality chicken and side dishes.
- Ensure proper portion control and maintain consistency in food presentation.
- Handle and store ingredients in accordance with food safety standards.
- Cooking:
- Operate kitchen equipment, such as fryers, grills, and ovens, to cook chicken to perfection.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee food safety and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth flow of orders during peak hours.
- Kitchen Cleanliness:
- Keep the kitchen area clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
- Follow proper cleaning procedures for kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other back of house and front of house team members to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and energetic work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
