Position Overview:
We’re urgently seeking a skilled and dedicated Croissant Master Baker to join our team. As a Croissant Master Baker at Parfait Paris, you will be responsible for creating delectable croissants and other baked goods, maintaining our high standards of quality and taste. Your expertise will contribute to our legacy of delivering exceptional French pastries to our cherished customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the croissant production department in creating high quality croissants, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
- Ability to follow recipes, prepare and bake a variety of pastries, including but not limited to croissants, cookies, and danishes.
- Ability to laminate croissant dough from scratch.
- Ability to roll, knead, cut, or shape dough to form baguettes, loafs, croissants etc...
- Uphold hygiene and sanitation standards. Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient bakery operation.
- Participate in daily kitchen duties, including ingredient preparation and monitoring of oven temperatures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of proven experience as a baker. Bonus if you’ve worked with croissants and French pastries before!
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for creating exceptional pastries.
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration and communication skills.
- Must be capable of working early mornings starting at 6 am.
- Valid California Food Handler Card
- A desire to work, a willingness to learn, while treating others with respect and honesty

“The big thing we wanted, which was too soon for San Diego when we started it, was we wanted a pastry shop exactly the same way it would be in Paris,” Guillaume said. “That’s what defined us. We wanted to be authentic and didn’t want to compromise on anything. Our croissant lines are still done by hand with butter from Europe and New Zealand, and we use only French chocolate in all of our desserts, which is not too sweet.”
“Quality of our ingredients is our priority,” said Ludi. “My husband and I grew up in Europe surrounded by great food and people coaching us to never cut back on what goes into our pastries. This is a lesson we have carried to all of our products and locations.”
