Bludso's BBQ in Santa Monica is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our team. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen by efficiently cleaning dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. Your role is essential in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, glassware, and other items.
Responsibilities:
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment in a timely manner
- Ensure all dishes and utensils are properly organized and stored
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dishwashing area
- Adhere to proper sanitation and safety guidelines to maintain a hygienic work environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of clean dishes and utensils
- Handle garbage and recycling disposal efficiently
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with general cleaning tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Basic knowledge of proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
