Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy taco shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, managing and training staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring profitability through effective cost control measures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of the taco shop's daily operations.
- Hire, train, and motivate a team of employees to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food quality
- Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies, and tracking food costs
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to increase business revenue
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately, and monitor financial reports to track revenue, expenses, and profits
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Create and manage schedules for staff, including shift assignments and overtime allocation
- Develop and implement employee policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations
- Participate in community events to promote the restaurant and build relationships with potential customers and partners
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fast-casual or quick-service environment
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, employees, and vendors in a positive and professional manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage finances, analyze financial reports, and develop effective cost control strategies.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to navigate different restaurant management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business
