General Manager - Napa

Slanted Door Napa - 1650 Soscol Ave, Napa, CA 94559

Join our grand opening team at Slanted Door as a General Manager and play a key role in overseeing the entire restaurant operations including financial performance, product production and standard, appearance of restaurant, inventory, customer services, personnel, sales, and marketing for The Slanted Door. You'll play a key role in initiating strategic plans to improve company’s overall performance goals and achieve results.

Restaurant Oversight
  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including financial performance, product quality, appearance, inventory, and customer service.
  • Implement strategic plans to achieve company performance goals.

Scheduling and Flexibility
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility, working 40 to 60 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Participate in group meetings and adapt to company policy changes.

Team Management
  • Promote a harmonious working relationship with all team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Train and develop Floor Management team to handle restaurant operations.

Financial Management
  • Manage P&L to optimize profit, control labor, and manage expenses.
  • Analyze sales and cost data to meet budget goals.
  • Develop strategic plans for sales improvement.

Customer Service
  • Enforce excellence in customer service and maintain customer relationships.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively.

Operations Excellence
  • Ensure operational routines and systems are maintained.
  • Drive operational efficiency and quality standards.

Personnel Management
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to the team.
  • Recruit and develop a skilled team aligned with the company's values.
  • Maintain effective staffing levels.

Compliance and Communication
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies.
  • Communicate with the team and implement changes effectively.
  • Respond promptly to employee matters.

  • Business degree with a focus on Hospitality or 3 years of General Management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Manager in fine dining or 5 years in a management role.
  • Strong track record in cost control and quality standards.
  • Effective leadership and customer relationship skills.
  • Knowledge of Performance Management.
  • ServSafe and RBS Certification.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Impeccable professional attire and superior attendance.
