Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our team. As the General Manager at Wetzel's Pretzels, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including managing the staff, ensuring quality standards, monitoring the POS system, scheduling, cash handling, and achieving store goals. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering excellent food quality, safety, and cleanliness will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Maintain POS System:
- Oversee the proper functioning of the POS system.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues and ensure accurate sales tracking.
- Train/Staff:
- Train and develop staff in various roles, including cashiering, baking, rolling, expediting, and sampling.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and coaching.
- Responsible for Scheduling, Cash Handling & Making Deposits:
- Create and manage employee schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels.
- Handle cash transactions, maintain accurate cash registers, and make deposits in a timely manner.
- Manage the Restaurant to Meet or Exceed Standards in Food Quality, Safety, and Cleanliness:
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain high standards in food preparation, storage, and handling.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Provide Direction to Staff to Obtain Store Goals:
- Set performance goals and provide guidance to staff members.
- Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance.
- Implement strategies to achieve store goals, such as sales targets and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a managerial role within the food service industry.
- Proficiency in managing a POS system and analyzing sales data.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of scheduling techniques to optimize staffing levels.
- Cash handling experience and knowledge of financial procedures.
