General Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily store operations and lead by example
- Manage food, labor, inventory, and controllable costs
- Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain team members
- Create and manage employee schedules
- Monitor cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting procedures
- Maintain inventory controls and product ordering systems
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards
- Drive sales growth and profitability initiatives
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
- Execute local store marketing and community engagement efforts
- Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented culture

Minimum Requirements and Expectations:
- Exceptional leadership skills and a positive attitude
- Strong integrity, professionalism, and accountability
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous management or leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
- Experience with inventory management, labor controls, and operational reporting
- Ability to analyze business performance and make sound decisions
- Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently
- Ability to handle cash and financial reporting responsibilities
- Ability to use computers, touch-screen systems, and business software applications

- Near and mid-range vision required for most in-store tasks
- Ability to distinguish between hot and cold surfaces

General Store Duties:
- Operate store equipment safely and efficiently
- Stock ingredients and supplies throughout the store
- Prepare food products according to company standards
- Process customer orders by phone and in person
- Complete inventory counts and operational paperwork
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, workstations, and facility
- Assist team members in all areas of store operations as needed
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Exposure to varying temperatures, including walk-in coolers and hot kitchen environments
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cleaning products
- Work around hot equipment, ovens, and moving mechanical parts
- Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull carts, dollies, and inventory loads
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and stretch throughout the workday
- Ability to occasionally climb stairs or ladders for maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Continuous use of hands, fingers, and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Exposure to varying weather conditions when performing outdoor tasks
- Ability to work in confined areas, including storage rooms and walk-in coolers
