We are looking for a service minded Host/Hostess to complete our Front of Desk team. Our Hosts/Hostesses have an inviting and warm personality and aims to please every guest who walks in our doors. Providing a welcoming and bright smile and making sure all guests are greeted promptly. As the first and last point of contact, our Host/Hostess are genuinely friendly, yet professional and tactful while engaging with every guest. The ideal candidates will have a professional demeanor with excellent communication skills, exceptionally organized, and succeed in a team-based environment
Responsibilities:
· Greet every guest warmly upon arrival and thank them sincerely as they depart, creating a memorable first and last impression.
· Act as a Brand Ambassador by engaging guests with information about Carmine’s and Virgil’s locations, and encouraging return visits for special events and catering.
· Collaborate with the Maitre’d to manage seating arrangements and ensure smooth service throughout the restaurant.
· Answer phones professionally and manage reservations using the OpenTable system.
· Assist with accommodating large parties by rearranging tables as needed.
· Build strong guest relationships by providing attentive service and helping guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.
· Engage with potential guests both inside and outside the restaurant, explaining our menu and inviting them to dine with us.
· Support the front desk team in all roles and responsibilities to ensure a seamless guest experience.
· Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
· Who are professional, personable, organized with a sense of humor and a strong passion for hospitality!
· With experience as a Host/Hostess highly preferred but not required.
· With experience operating OpenTable, RESY, or other reservations systems is a plus.
· Who are Fluent in English.
· Who are bright, warm, outgoing personality; upbeat and well groomed.
· With a desire to grow with the company and passion for excellence.
· With open flexibility to work various shifts.
· Able to speak clearly and articulately on the telephone, providing information and answering questions for callers and walk in guests.
