Bludso's BBQ in LA is currently seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing them with a warm welcome and ensuring a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, including managing reservations and waiting lists
- Assist guests in finding suitable seating arrangements and accommodate special requests whenever possible
- Provide accurate wait time estimates and manage guest expectations
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficient seating and table turnover
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with inquiries or reservation requests
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant layout to effectively assist guests
- Monitor the dining area to ensure tables are cleaned and prepared for incoming guests
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to the appropriate staff when necessary
- Collaborate with the rest of the team to provide excellent customer service and enhance the overall dining experience
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Host or in a customer service role is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Positive and outgoing personality with a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with reservation management systems and basic computer skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
