We are actively seeking an experienced Lead Line Cook who possesses energy, efficiency and excellent skills in a high volume, team environment. You should be passionate about putting out consistent, quality food and seeking opportunities to learn and grow in the kitchen.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a food preparation position
- Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Ability to work with commercial equipment including stand mixers, ovens, torches, etc
Responsibilities
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulation
- Prepare, maintain and monitor quality control for hot and cold foods including but not limited to meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, seasonings, vegetables
- Observe line cook employees' standards, strengths and weaknesses, communicate observations to management, partners and trainers and assist in developing and implementing necessary plans of action
- Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, reliability, and dependability in all daily work activities and a willingness to collaborate with others for the good of the customer and the organization
