Position Overview:
We’re urgently seeking a skilled and dedicated full time Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook at Parfait Paris, you will be responsible for creating delectable baked goods, maintaining our high standards of quality and taste. Your expertise will contribute to our legacy of delivering exceptional French pastries to our cherished customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep the prep area fully stocked and prepped. Consistently check and restocking prep items to have enough of a supply to last throughout the shift.
- Have cutting and grilling skills (slicing, dicing etc).
- Ability to follow recipes for brunch and dinner menus, in an organized and timely manner.
- Understand and uphold hygiene, food safety and sanitation standards.
- Clean, sanitize and organize workstation and equipment (using a First In First Out system).
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of proven experience as line cook.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration and communication skills.
- Valid California Food Handler Card.
- Able to work quickly and efficiently, while paying attention to details and maintaining quality
- Professional, organized, reliable, punctual, meticulous and fast!
- A hard worker with a willingness to learn, while treating others with respect, kindness and honesty
- Ability to work either Part Time Morning Shifts (6am to 3pm) OR Evening Shifts (3pm to 9:30pm or 10:30pm)

“The big thing we wanted, which was too soon for San Diego when we started it, was we wanted a pastry shop exactly the same way it would be in Paris,” Guillaume said. “That’s what defined us. We wanted to be authentic and didn’t want to compromise on anything. Our croissant lines are still done by hand with butter from Europe and New Zealand, and we use only French chocolate in all of our desserts, which is not too sweet.”
“Quality of our ingredients is our priority,” said Ludi. “My husband and I grew up in Europe surrounded by great food and people coaching us to never cut back on what goes into our pastries. This is a lesson we have carried to all of our products and locations.”
