Job Summary
- To assist the Kitchen Manager in the overall operations of the kitchen.
- Primarily responsible for assembling menu items as ordered
- You will be available to assist in all other areas in BOH as needed
- Complying with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Create, maintain, and update pars for daily needs
- Assist in ordering of all products and taking inventory
- Assist in checking in, and putting away, all deliveries
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Familiar with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- Ability to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of a variety of recipes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to supervise a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work any shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Problem-solving and conflict management abilities
- A willingness to learn and to grow with company
About: We are a new multi-concept project located in Pacific Beach, CA, including six distinct food concepts under one umbrella: Spitfire, Head Lettuce, Checkered Churros, Harvey Carvers, Earlybird Breakfast Burritos, and Scotty Dogs. The project is being developed by local restaurateur Scott Slater and will feature a main kitchen with new and efficient technology for ordering, as well as robust delivery service.
