We are looking for a genuinely friendly and experienced Maitre’d who is authentically warm, energetic, and is passionate about teamwork for our Front Desk team. This role ensures our guests have the best possible experience from the moment they are greeted at the front desk. The ideal candidates will be warm, have excellent communication skills, be exceptionally organized, and thrive in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities:
· Greet every guest with a warm, engaging welcome, making them feel part of our restaurant family from the moment they arrive.
· Manage reservations and coordinate with the management team to strategically assign seating and ensure smooth service flow.
· Maintain and communicate waitlist status clearly and efficiently with the front desk team and management.
· Act as a Brand Ambassador by sharing information about Carmine’s and Virgil’s locations and encouraging guests to return for special events and catering opportunities.
· Lead and support the host team, ensuring guests are seated promptly and appropriately.
· Answer phones professionally and manage the OpenTable reservation system with accuracy and efficiency.
· Build strong guest relationships by creating a memorable first impression and providing helpful information about our dining experience.
· Thank guests sincerely as they leave, leaving a lasting positive impression.
· Be flexible and capable of performing all front desk roles, stepping in wherever needed to support the team.
· Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
· Who are professional, personable, organized with a sense of humor and a strong passion for hospitality!
· With experience as a Maitre’d or as a Lead Host/Hostess in a fast-paced high-volume restaurant environment.
· Who is friendly, have excellent communication skills, be exceptionally organized, and thrives in a team-based environment.
· Experience operating OpenTable, RESY, or other reservation systems required.
· Who are able to speak clearly and articulately on the telephone, providing information and answering questions for callers and walk in guests.
· Who are fluent in English.
· With open flexibility to work various shifts.
