Responsibilities:
- Prepare dough and other ingredients for baking
- Decorate a variety pastries
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Follow recipes and instructions from the pastry chef
- Ensure quality of all finished products
- Monitor stock levels and replenish as needed
- Package and label pastries for delivery
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas
- Assist pastry chef with new recipes and ideas
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
What We're Looking For:
- Our team is looking for Pastry Assistant.
- The role needs full-service hotel in Herald Square/ Midtown area knowledge of ice cream and sorbets, petit fours, general baking, and individually plated desserts.
- Required to assist the pastry chef and all aspects of the pastry department.
