Role Overview
The Prep Cook prepares ingredients, recipes, and batches according to Biscuit Belly’s standards. They work with consistency, accuracy, and heart, ensuring the line has everything needed to deliver bold, vibrant dishes. Prep Cooks show up authentically, communicate openly, and support the team by keeping the kitchen organized, stocked, and ready for peak service.
Key Responsibilities
Prep & Production — Genuine Authenticity
- Prepare all ingredients, recipes, and batches according to Biscuit Belly specs
- Follow scratch‑made processes with honesty and pride — no shortcuts
- Ensure all prep items match the quality, flavor, and appearance expected
- Label, date, rotate, and store all food properly
Quality & Flavor — Deliciously Bold
- Execute prep that delivers big flavor and bold presentation
- Maintain consistency across every batch — from biscuits to sauces to toppings
- Take pride in creating ingredients that make dishes “Instagram‑ready” once they hit the line
- Bring energy, creativity, and personality to the prep process
Kitchen Support — Relentless Hospitality
- Keep the kitchen stocked, organized, and ready for the rush
- Communicate clearly with Line Cooks, Expo, and leadership about needs or shortages
- Support teammates proactively — jump in wherever needed

- Comfortable working in hot and cold environments
- Maintains excellent personal hygiene
Work Environment
- Fast‑paced kitchen with constant movement and teamwork
- Exposure to heat from equipment and cold from walk‑ins
- Occasional outdoor exposure when assisting with deliveries
- Must be willing to support other BOH roles as needed
