Job Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and renting a variety of beach equipment, including bikes, roller skates, surfboards, volleyballs etc. (We will teach you everything you need to know!)
- Maintain and organize rental inventory, ensuring all items are in good condition and ready for customer use.
- Lubricating bicycle chains, cleaning bicycles, locking up bicucles, organizing helmets and locks
- Provide information and guidance to customers regarding the use and safety of equipment.
- Process rental transactions using a POS computer system, handle all cash and credit card payments.
- Keep the rental area and cafe tables clean and organized! (includes bussing of tables and removing trash from sand)
- Keep our oceans and beach clean! Dispose of guest's trash
- Placing wind blocks when it's too windy for guests
- Monitor guest alcohol use:
- Making sure alcohol consumption is only in fenced area,
- Making sure drinks are not shared with someone under 21
- Monitor that guest are not getting out of control (inform manager if it is)
- Customers have a designated cup where alcohol is poured into if not drinking out of the can
- Making sure that the signs saying no alcohol beyond this point are positioned in the correct spot
- Ensure guests do not leave the premise with alcohol
Our Ideal Candidate:
- A positive outgoing attitude and wants to learn!
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality or tourism
- Excellent communication, customer service skills and a very friendly personality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
- A team player!
