Nashville Riverboats is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead efforts in the Corporate and Convention/Association markets. This role is ideal for a motivated hospitality sales professional who thrives on building relationships, generating new business, and representing a unique, experience-driven brand in the Nashville market.
About the Position
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue through the development of corporate, association, and convention business. This individual will actively prospect, build relationships, and represent Nashville Riverboats at industry events, trade shows, and sales initiatives locally and nationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow business within the corporate, association, and convention segments
- Prospect new clients and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts
- Respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, and close business
- Represent Nashville Riverboats at trade shows, industry events, and conferences
- Participate in sales blitzes and travel as needed to generate new leads
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with local hotels, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (NCVC) to generate leads, increase visibility, and drive group and corporate business
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events
- Maintain accurate records and reporting within our reservation/database system
- Stay informed on market trends and competitive activity
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, specifically within corporate and/or association markets
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Experience working with or selling through Destination Management Companies (DMCs) is preferred
- Experience attending and working trade shows, sales missions, and industry conferences
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Knowledge of the Nashville market is a plus
