Job Description

Wait Help are responsible for reporting to store management and making sure all guests are well taken care of. The wait help position provides courteous and efficient guest service throughout the duration of the guest’s dining experience in the restaurant.

Responsibilities
- Effectively handles assigned section by greeting guests, taking orders promptly, accurately inputting orders into the POS, processes guest checks and payments properly.
- Efficiently serves food to guest, refills drinks for guests, and busses tables promptly after guests leave.
- Is knowledgeable and can describe menu items, ongoing promotions and special menu items proficiently. Answers guest inquiries in a purposeful manner.
- Maintains a constant flow of communication with kitchen staff and informs guests of their order status.
- Prepare and serve beverages and desserts.
- Maintains a safe and sanitary work and guest area through constant cleaning, organizing, and replenishing of necessary items.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Meets assigned shift requirements.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years old
- Passed a tuberculosis (TB) skin test within 12 months or at age 16 or older.
- Pass a drug screening test.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cash handling and 1 year experience as a server preferred.
- Able to interact with guests and co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
- Enjoys multitasking in a fast-paced environment and is punctual and dependable
- Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly push, pull, and carry objects.
- Stand and walk for at least 6-8 hours.
- Reach at shoulder level and below waist constantly, above head occasionally.
- Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
