Job Summary:
Howling Wolf is seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for managing the kitchen staff, ensuring the quality of food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role requires a leader who can maintain high standards in fast-paced settings and inspire a team to deliver excellent food and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Kitchen Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and enhance menu offerings. Monitor market trends and customer preferences to propose innovative and appealing dishes.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff. Schedule shifts, oversee staff performance, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Inventory and Purchasing: Manage kitchen inventory, order food and supplies, and negotiate with vendors to ensure the kitchen is stocked with necessary ingredients and tools.
  • Food Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure all food preparation areas and equipment meet health and safety standards. Implement cleaning schedules and inspections to maintain an impeccable kitchen.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control food and labor costs while maximizing profitability without compromising quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Keep up to date with industry techniques and culinary trends.
  • Problem Solving: Address any issues regarding food quality or service delays. Work closely with the restaurant manager to resolve customer complaints related to food quality or service.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for kitchen staff.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Creative culinary skills with the ability to craft menus and dishes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a high-temperature environment.
