Job Summary: Howling Wolf is seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for managing the kitchen staff, ensuring the quality of food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role requires a leader who can maintain high standards in fast-paced settings and inspire a team to deliver excellent food and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Kitchen Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.

Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and enhance menu offerings. Monitor market trends and customer preferences to propose innovative and appealing dishes.

Staff Management: Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff. Schedule shifts, oversee staff performance, and conduct performance reviews.

Inventory and Purchasing: Manage kitchen inventory, order food and supplies, and negotiate with vendors to ensure the kitchen is stocked with necessary ingredients and tools.

Food Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure all food preparation areas and equipment meet health and safety standards. Implement cleaning schedules and inspections to maintain an impeccable kitchen.

Cost Control: Monitor and control food and labor costs while maximizing profitability without compromising quality and guest satisfaction.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Keep up to date with industry techniques and culinary trends.

Problem Solving: Address any issues regarding food quality or service delays. Work closely with the restaurant manager to resolve customer complaints related to food quality or service.

Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for kitchen staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Creative culinary skills with the ability to craft menus and dishes.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a high-temperature environment.
