Job Description

The Floor Supervisor, who is hospitality focused, results-driven will positively impact on the people and guest experience in our restaurants. As a shift supervisor your primary responsibility is to ensure that the service on the floor runs smoothly and efficiently and our guests are having the ultimate dining experience, much of your time will be spent on the floor focusing on the most important area- OUR guests! 

Responsibilities: 
  • The Floor Supervisor will set the stage by ensuring we are delivering excellent hospitality, great guest experiences by visiting every table throughout the shift, building relationships, learning of feedback before there are issues, and informing our guests of more opportunities to dine with us (Special events, catering, take out.)
  • Ensures that floor sections and staffing levels for the day are organized at appropriate levels based on both reservations and walk-in foot traffic.  (Balances proper coverage with both indoor and outdoor dining areas).
  • Direct team members throughout the shift to ensure side work responsibilities are fulfilled and the setup and breakdown of the dining areas is properly completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in hourly positions by redirecting resources, coordinating breaks, and communicating needs or staff concerns with management in a timely manner.
  • Support the training program with new hourly FOH team members with Follow ups and skill out training, may be responsible for assisting with onboarding.
  • Actively participates in quality of our steps of service and consistently works to drive PPA ‘s through suggestive selling, contests, and other sales drivers while on the floor communicating with the chef on any potential challenges, allergies, etc. 
  • Report immediate guest issues, employee conflict to the scheduled MOD of that shift.
  • Leaving feedback on scheduling levels and conferring with salaried managers to make decisions on any adjustments needed for scheduling on future shifts. 
  • Completion of all daily tasks.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned by GM, AGM, and Restaurant Managers.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager. 

Requirements: 

  • 3-5 years of restaurant experience in fast paced high-volume restaurants.
  • Basic understanding of cleanliness standards in each area of the restaurant: greet stand, dining room, the bar, kitchen, restrooms, steward station, etc. 
  •  Must have an outgoing personality with a welcoming presence on the dining room floor alongside excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills- verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guests
  • Display a passion for service and exceeding our guests' needs.
  • Must be reliable, dependable, and guest employee focused.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Toast, Open Table, Excel, Word, and timekeeping software
  • Willingness to learn and be developed.
  • Must be Fluent in English.
  • Open flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Experience in a fast-paced high-volume environment
